Privacy Policy

How Pinky's Automotive handles information you provide through our website.

Effective and last updated: August 17, 2026

In plain language: We use information you submit to answer your request and provide automotive services. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers on this website.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Pinky's Automotive ("Pinky's," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit pinkysautomotive.com, submit a service request, or contact us through the website. Separate documents may govern repair records, payments, warranties, or other in-shop services.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Contact information, including your first and last name, email address, phone number, and preferred contact method.
  • Vehicle and service information, including shop location, vehicle year, make and model, approximate mileage, requested service, issue description, and desired timing.
  • Communications and any other information you choose to send us.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, driver's-license numbers, payment-card details, medical information, passwords, or other sensitive information through the service-request form.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider may automatically process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, referring page, and visit date and time. The website does not currently use advertising pixels, cross-site behavioral advertising, session recording, or third-party analytics scripts.

3. How We Use Information

  • Review and respond to service requests and other inquiries.
  • Contact you using your selected method and coordinate a requested appointment.
  • Check parts availability and prepare for a possible visit.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and our services.
  • Detect spam, fraud, security incidents, and other misuse.
  • Maintain business records, comply with law, and protect our rights and customers.

Submitting a service request does not create an appointment or authorize diagnostic or repair work. We will contact you to confirm next steps.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies on the website. Our hosting provider may use essential security, load-balancing, or abuse-prevention technologies needed to operate the site and process forms. You can control cookies through your browser, although blocking essential technologies may affect site features.

5. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to:

  • Our owners, employees, and personnel who need it to respond to you or operate the business.
  • Service providers that host and secure the website, process form submissions, provide communications, or support our business. Netlify hosts the website and processes its online forms on our behalf.
  • Government authorities, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when required or permitted by law.
  • A buyer, successor, lender, advisor, or participant in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets.
  • Other parties when you direct us or consent.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own direct marketing without your consent.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, provide services, maintain business and repair records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Retention varies based on the information and why it was collected.

7. Your Choices and Requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information you submitted online, subject to applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping needs. To protect you, we may verify your identity before acting. You may opt out of nonessential text messages by replying STOP. We may still send messages needed to respond to a transaction you initiated, as permitted by law.

8. California Privacy Disclosures

California's Online Privacy Protection Act requires commercial websites collecting personally identifiable information from California consumers to describe their collection and disclosure practices. The categories of information we collect and parties to whom we disclose it are listed above.

Do Not Track and preference signals

Some browsers offer a legacy "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no uniform standard for that signal, the website does not respond to it. We do not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change and applicable law requires us to honor a legally recognized opt-out preference signal, we will do so.

Other parties' collection

The website does not permit advertising or analytics partners to collect personal information about your activities over time and across unaffiliated websites. Links to maps, social media, or review platforms take you to third-party services governed by their own privacy policies.

Additional California rights

The California Consumer Privacy Act applies only to businesses meeting statutory thresholds or otherwise within its scope. If it applies to a request, California residents may have additional rights to know, access, correct, delete, or receive information about certain personal information; opt out of sale or sharing; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and receive equal treatment when exercising applicable rights. We will honor rights that apply to us and the request.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information through an unsecured channel.

10. Children's Privacy

The website is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy by posting the revised version here, changing the "last updated" date, and providing any additional notice required by law. Material changes apply prospectively unless otherwise permitted by law.

12. Contact Us

For privacy questions or requests, contact the shop involved using the details in Section 7.
